For the purposes of the project “Enhancing informative journalism facilitating the business environment in Albania”, funded by the German Development Cooperation GIZ Office in Albania, Fast News Economy represented by Aurora Sulce opens a:

CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF BIDS

for procurement of service of Economic Analysis Expert.

1. Contracting authority

Fast News Economy (Aurora Sulce PF) will contract an Economic Analysis Expert in the framework of “Enhancing informative journalism facilitating the business environment in Albania” project.

2. Information about the project

Fast News Economy is a portal whose main goal is to compile analyses of the socio-economic situation in Albania, in comparison with the countries of the Western Balkans. It aims to promote high-quality journalism and sustainable media coverage of economic development. Through video reports and written articles, Fast News Economy seeks to reach various target groups especially young people by providing in-depth analyses of topics related to developments in the Republic of Albania.

The portal has already been developed and is maintained through self-financed plans that ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiative. The vision of Fast News Economy is to create an environment where business operators can access reliable, fact-checked, and in-depth economic information.

In the medium term, Fast News Economy plans to publish articles targeting the Albanian diaspora. Within this framework, the project aims to publish a series of written articles specifically for young audiences, introducing an innovative approach to journalism by presenting comparative analyses that are both accessible and relevant to their socio-economic lives.

An Economic Analysis Expert will be engaged in the project to develop more in-depth analysis in this informative space, according to the requirements of the project’s working group

3. Subject of the service contract

The subject of the service contract is to develop in-depth economic analysis of the articles that will be published on the informative space for the official website of Fast News Economy by Aurora Sulce within the framework of this project, based on a strategic posting of the activities of the project.

The engagement period is 40 working days, in compliance with the duration of the project.

4. Assignment timetable

This assignment is expected to start on the 2^nd of December 2024 until 30^th of March 2025. The assignment of Economic Analysis Expert is foreseen to be in total 40 working days.

5. Duties and responsibilities

• The Economic Analysis Expert should gather quantitative and qualitative economic data from various sources
• The Economic Analysis Expert should conduct economic research on topics selected in collaboration with the Project Manager.

The contract may be terminated if the abovementioned requirements of this ToR are not met by the selected designer.

6. Selection criteria

• The relevant criteria for this service is the most efficient financial offer by the applicants.

7. The offer should contain the following elements:

• Financial offer signed by the applicant;

• Signed declaration for the acceptance of this ToR.

Those bids that will not contain the necessary elements or are not made according to the propositions of the call, will not be considered for further evaluation.

All applications must be submitted by 16^th of September 2024.

8. Awarding criteria

The selection of applicants will be done through evaluation of the financial offer (100%). The applicant who will receive the most points in total will be selected.

9. Payment

The payment will be discussed and decided among the contracting parties.
